The First
Months of Life

The ideal age for a newborn session.
What to expect during a baby photoshoot.

The importance of these images for family memories.

The first days of a baby’s life are fleeting and precious. It’s during this time that the most tender memories are born—memories you want to keep forever.

A newborn photoshoot is a gentle way to capture the tiny details, first emotions, and the special atmosphere of those early days in your new family.

The newborn period is unique and fleeting. Those tiny fingers, soft cheeks, sleepy smiles — it all passes incredibly fast. The ideal time for a newborn photoshoot is between 5 and 14 days after birth. During this time, the baby sleeps more often, easily settles into cozy poses, and their skin has a more even tone.

You can still do a photoshoot later, especially if focusing on natural shots with the parents, but it’s in the first two weeks that it’s easiest to capture that special, tender "newborn" atmosphere.

Why these
photos are so important

Family stacking hands together — showing connection, good mood, and teamwork before a photoshoot
Newborn photographs are more than just beautiful pictures. They are a memory of a time that can never be repeated. Amid sleepless nights and new challenges, we often don’t realize how quickly our child is growing.

Years later, these photos will become an invaluable reminder of those first days together. For the child, they will be a true family heirloom—a part of their story.
Children grow up so fast, and it’s such a joy to sit together and look back on moments that already feel like a distant past to them. My daughter happily revisits her first photos and is amazed that she was ever that small.
